       MILWAUKEE, Nov. 27 (AScribe Newswire) -- John Schmidt has joined Families International Inc. as vice president and chief financial officer. Schmidt, who has 25 years experience in business management, finance, and accounting with firms in the Milwaukee area, comes to Families International after serving as chief financial officer of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design for five years.

       Schmidt, of Oak Creek, leads the financial, information technology, human resources, and building services of Milwaukee-based Families International, the nonprofit parent company for the nonprofit membership associations Alliance for Children and Families and United Neighborhood Centers of America; the nonprofit Ways to Work Inc., a Community Development Financial Institution; and FEI Behavioral Health, a for-profit behavioral health company.

       Schmidt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an accounting major from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Master of Business Administration with honors from Keller Graduate School of Management.
